Our Story
In 2018, with nothing more than a word from God and the faith to follow it, our journey began in Tallahassee, Florida. What started as a simple act of obedience grew into a community where people could encounter Jesus, discover purpose, and express their faith in authentic ways. Along the journey, God expanded our understanding of creativity. We believe creativity is more than art or performance. Because we are made in the image of our Creator, every person has been uniquely gifted with ideas, talents, and purpose to honor God, serve others, and point people to Jesus.
In 2021, God led us to Tampa, where AVE was born with a renewed vision: to build a creative church that looks like Heaven, where many cultures are celebrated, many languages are lifted, and many generations are united through worship and purpose.
Today, AVE exists to connect people from every walk of life to the hope and love of Christ, helping them discover purpose for today and the promise of tomorrow. We're not just building a church. We're building a community where every person is equipped to use their God-given gifts to make an eternal impact.
Who We Are
At AVE, we're a creative church because we serve a creative God.
From the very beginning of Scripture, God revealed Himself as Creator. Because we are made in His image, we believe He has placed unique gifts, ideas, talents, and creativity inside every person. Creativity isn't reserved for artists, musicians, designers, or communicators.
It's reflected in teachers who inspire, entrepreneurs who innovate, parents who nurture, leaders who cast vision, builders who create, caregivers who serve, and everyday people who use their God-given gifts to make a difference.
That's why creativity at AVE is bigger than what happens on a stage or behind a camera. It's about discovering how God has uniquely designed you and using those gifts to honor Him, serve others, and point people to the hope found in Jesus Christ.
